Assessment and Evaluation
The main purpose of the assessment and evaluation studies carried out in NÛN Schools is to support the multifaceted development of our students. By implementing assessment and evaluation strategies, we can effectively measure students' progress, assess their acquisition of expected skills, and offer personalized feedback to optimize their learning outcomes.
The cognitive, social, and psychomotor development of our students at the K12 level is monitored in coordination with the PDR unit. Student success is systematically monitored from kindergarten until the end of grade 12, and the necessary action plan is created.
The analysed data obtained from the assessment and evaluation tools applied are reported and shared with the relevant education stakeholders. In addition to internal assessments, we also use external assessments to ensure objectivity in the assessment process.
We combine the traditional methods with self-assessment, peer review, checklists, graded scoring keys, and portfolios. Thanks to these tools, we can report multidimensional evaluations for our students. The feedback provided to and from the stakeholders, the necessary alterations and improvements are made for methods and techniques we use in our education process to choose the most appropriate approach for the profile of our students. Thanks to our assessment and evaluation studies, we differentiate our program through the methods and techniques we use in the courses in accordance with the interests, abilities, and needs of our students. Assessment and evaluation studies help our teachers to collect data about their teaching and learning processes. Within this framework, our teachers are given the opportunity to make plans, set criteria, think reflective and prepare reports. Assessment and evaluation studies provide parents with information on children's learning and development and guide them in supporting their children.
In summary, our aim as the assessment and evaluation unit is to;
